Turn the ignition key on and ensure the DEF level gauge is reading properly. The warning low-pressure indicator light which appears within your dashboard or via the EVIC, indicated by a chime, should turn off automatically after your tires receive the proper amount of air pressure/ PSI. Using WiTECH, perform a DEF reductant doser pump prime override test a total of 10 times to ensure that the DEF pump has been sufficiently primed and that all air has been purged from the pump and filter. Dodge RAMs are equipped with a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) to assist you in maintaining the correct tire pressure. Replace the DEF pump assembly and ensure that the DEF tank is approximately ½ full. A manufacturing defect in the level sensor may have occurred. The sensor translates the signal change into a fluid level and busses the information to the instrument panel cluster via the dosing control unit (DCU). As the fluid level in the tank decreases, the level sensor becomes exposed to air which alters the signal sent out by the sensor. The DEF system uses a complex radio frequency type level sensor to detect the amount of fluid present in the DEF tank. Most systems also have a def quality sensor so adding anything but good quality def will generate a code. About 5-6 weeks ago I was towing home from Disney, Ok and my truck said Service DEF system, see dealer, and started counting down from 200 miles until limp mode. This can make the system think that it is empty. It is my DD and I tow a 5th wheel toyhauler that weighs just under 15k loaded. I've owned it since December and 90k miles. The 20 has 6 problems reported for diesel exhaust fluid pump issues. DTCs P203B (reductant level sensor circuit performance), P203C (diesel exhaust fluid.reductant level sensor circuit low) and/or P203D (reductant level sensor circuit high) might be stored. Hi All, I'm having some issues with my ' Megacab. The DEF level sensor may have a manufacturing defect. This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Dodge RAM 25 trucks equipped with a diesel engine.
